These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Beat The Cut ("Service"), operated by Beat The Cut ("we," "us," or "our"), accessible at beatthecut.com.
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Beat The Cut is a golf pick'em pool management platform that allows users to:
Beat The Cut is a pool management tool only. We do not facilitate, process, or hold any wager, buy-in, or prize money between pool participants. All financial arrangements between pool members are conducted entirely outside of our platform and are the sole responsibility of the pool host and participants.
Beat The Cut is a game of skill. Pool participants select professional golfers based on their knowledge, research, and judgment. The platform provides organizational tools, live scoring data, and standings — nothing more.
We do not accept, hold, process, or distribute any money on behalf of users. Any buy-ins, entry fees, or prizes within a Pool are arranged entirely between pool participants outside of Beat The Cut. We have no involvement in, knowledge of, or responsibility for those arrangements.
You are responsible for ensuring that your use of Beat The Cut and any associated financial arrangements comply with the laws of your jurisdiction. Beat The Cut makes no representations regarding the legality of pick'em pools in any specific location.
To use Beat The Cut you must create an account using a valid email address or Google account. You agree to:
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
If you create a Pool, you are the "Host" of that Pool and take on additional responsibilities:
Beat The Cut is not responsible for disputes, non-payment, or disagreements between pool hosts and participants.
Beat The Cut charges a platform fee to pool hosts for use of the service. The current fee structure is:
Platform fees are non-refundable once a tournament has begun. Payment is processed by Stripe. By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge the applicable fee.
Beta Period: All pools are free through the end of March (March 31, 2026). Fees apply after this date.
You agree not to use Beat The Cut to:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.
The Beat The Cut name, logo, design, and all platform content are owned by Beat The Cut and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You retain ownership of any content you submit (team names, display names) but grant us a license to display that content within the Service.
Player names and tournament data are provided by Slash Golf via RapidAPI and are the property of their respective owners.
Beat The Cut is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:
Live scoring data is sourced from third-party providers. Scores may be delayed or temporarily inaccurate. Beat The Cut is not responsible for scoring errors or data delays that affect pool outcomes.
In no event shall Beat The Cut be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to lost profits, data loss, or disputes between pool participants.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Beat The Cut and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Beat The Cut shall be resolved in the courts of Massachusetts.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and notify users via email where appropriate.
Your continued use of Beat The Cut after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Beat The Cut at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service immediately ceases.
